Last week, Technolawyer released a new TechnoLawyer Library report, theTechnoLawyer Buyer's Guide to Outlook Add-Ons for Law Firms. If you are a lawyer who uses Outlook, this report is definitely worth the time to read. Author Edward Zohn is a lawyer who personally researched Outlook add-ons and this PDF report covers 44 of them broken down into these categories:
- Search and Data Mining
- Practice and Project Management
- Document Management
- Privacy and Security
- Collaboration and Synchronization
- Data Recovery and Maintenance
In creating the report, Zohn determined that he would include only those programs that met two criteria. First, the product needed to be an actual Outlook add-on, created to work within Outlook, rather than be a functioning stand alone product that merely integrated with Outlook, and second, the product needed to be particularly helpful to lawyers, even if the product was not specifically created with lawyers in mind.
In this guide, you'll find programs to do things like:
- Use Outlook for practice management
- Save email messages and attachments outside of Outlook
- Create workflow templates for different projects, including auto-scheduling appointments and tasks based on defined deadlines
- Collaborate with others
...and many more.
Technolawyer members can get the full PDF report for free - and joining Technolawyer is free as well. Members can get the report by logging in to the Technolawyer Member library. If you're not already a member, you can learn more about the Outlook Add-ons report and sign up to become a Technolawyer member here.
