Seeking Success Stories from Real Women
I am working with a group of friends and colleagues on an exciting new project, and I wanted my readers to be a part of it. (Sorry, guys, but this one’s just for the women – although I invite you to forward this to successful women you know so that they can contribute). We are asking real women to share their stories, strategies, tips, wisdom, and life lessons concerning what they believe helped them achieve success both personally and/or professionally.
We are interested in how you achieved your “personal best” in one or more of these areas: work/career, money, lifestyle, spirituality and relationships, family, creativity and self‑expression, leisure/travel, personal growth, and education. An example could be, “Teaming with a mentor, reading personal development books and attending seminars were key in the development of my personal best.” – and explain why.
Your response can be in any format you like – list, story, poetry, whatever. Writing style doesn’t matter – we’re looking for your experiences in your own words.
In your response please include your name, age, and vocation/avocation – e.g., mother/yoga instructor; attorney/artist; student/chef. If you prefer to remain anonymous, let me know and we will not reveal your name in the compilation.
Please feel free to respond to me either by email (you can use the ’email me’ link at the top of the right sidebar on the blog) or by posting a comment here on the blog. My comments are regulated, so if you don’t want the comment to appear on the blog, just say so and I won’t post it.
By responding you agree that we have the right to use your words and ideas in any form we choose, including publishing them, without any monetary compensation.
I look forward to hearing what my readers have to say, and including you in this exciting project.
Finally, I invite you to feel free to forward this request to other successful, inspiring women you know so that they can contribute as well!
Update: In light of Judith’s comment, I thought I should clarify – we’re looking for stories from real women everywhere, not just from women who are in the legal world. The more diverse the responses we receive, the better. I hope that my readers will not only participate, but will also forward this request to other successful women they know who are outside of the legal arena.
